We all know the value of great footwear to protect your feet from blisters, cold & wet weather. You probably will be walking thru streams or creeks and climbing over sharp jagged rocks all while trying to find that elusive trout stream or following a deer or elk sign into the wild blue yonder. I personally have found my best foot comfort keeps coming from my trusty old Danner’s. I got those boots while kicking around in old pawn shops and gun shops in Bend a few years back. I have put tons of miles on those boots and finally had to them re-souled after all their like an old friend. My feet are critical to both my success and comfort in the woods otherwise I can’t put in the time on the trail that I want to. There have been days where I might hike 10-12 miles or more carrying a 60lb pack. The last thing I need is for my feet to give out on me on the trail when I’m the most vulnerable.
